A Case of Acute Pulmonary Edema During General Anesthesia

Abstract
|
|
|
The author have experienced with a case of acute pulmonary edema under the general anesthesia for total abdominal hysterectomy due to post Cesarean section bleeding.
The patient had suffered from active pulmonary tuberculosis and so received treatment for pulmonary tuberculosis until 15 days before operation.
The diagnosis of patient was pre-eclampsia combined with placenta previa totalis.
For the case presented, I believed that causative factors of acute pulmonary edema was not only overloading but also pulmonary capillary endothelial damage from bacterial infection (especially pulmonary tuberculosis.).
